Alvaro Ortega cfo, VINEYARD WIND

Alvaro Ortega started his career in Iberdrola, a world energy leader in renewable generation and power and gas distribution. After graduating in Economics from the University of the Basque Country in Spain, he joined the Finance and Treasury team of Iberdrola in Bilbao. He continued his career in the US, working for Avangrid Renewables in Oregon, the US subsidiary of Iberdrola. Alvaro moved to Maine in 2013 to take a new role as manager of Avangrid Renewables and Networks Treasury and to pursue in parallel his MBA in Babson College, graduating in 2015. Last November Alvaro was appointed CFO of Vineyard Wind 1, the first large scale offshore wind project in the United States and Park City Wind, an 804MW project to deliver offshore wind energy to Connecticut.
