Aly Rose, Sustainability Analyst Sea-ahead

Aly is a Sustainability Analyst at SeaAhead, a public benefit corporation with a mission to catalyze the intersection of sustainability, oceans, and innovation while focusing on the triple-bottom-line (people, profit, environment). At SeaAhead, Aly conducts research on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals 2030, the landscape and potential of blue carbon markets & nutrient trading markets, and the role of biodiversity in ocean health. She also helps manage SeaAhead’s angel investment program. Aly is currently a Climate Change & Sustainability Policy graduate student at Northeastern University and holds a BA in Comparative Government from Bowdoin College. Her recent publications include “Blue Carbon and Its Role In Combating Climate Change” in Impact Entrepreneur and “Providing Insect-based Alternative to Fishmeal: Beta Hatch Project”, a SeaAhead case study for the UN Environmental Programme Sustainable Blue Finance Initiative. Her previous research in regenerative agriculture was presented at the 76th session of the UN General Assembly on behalf of the US Coalition on Sustainability.
