Mitch tyson principal, tyson associates

Mitch is the principal at Tyson Associates and is an experienced technology CEO, entrepreneur, mentor and board member. He advises and serves on several corporate, industry, government, academic, and non-profit boards and mentors early stage companies and entrepreneurs.

Mitch is Co-Founder and Chair of the Northeast Clean Energy Council, a partner in the Clean Energy Venture Group (angel investing), Chair of the Venture Café Foundation, and a board member of Greentown Labs (cleantech incubator), and the Acadia Center (clean energy research and advocacy group). 

Mitch is an adjunct professor at the International Business School at Brandeis University where he teaches the course on corporate sustainability. He mentors start-ups through the Cleantech Open, and MIT Clean Energy Prize competitions. 

In 2008 he was named a Mass High Tech All-Star for his leadership in the clean energy sector and in 2017 Mitch received the “Decade of Influence Award” by the Northeast Clean Energy Council. Mitch was previously CEO of several high tech and clean tech companies. Earlier he was science advisor and legislative assistant for energy policy to US Senator Paul Tsongas. He has a BS in Physics, an MS in Nuclear Eng., and an MS in Political Science, all from MIT.
