Our Focus Areas
FOOD & AGRICULTURE
At BSEC, we are focused on engaging with and learning from companies and professionals that are regenerating our food system in the United States. We embrace the multitude of opportunities within the food and agriculture supply chain such as sustainable production methods, further transparency into our food, socioeconomic accessibility challenges, shortening the distribution lifecycle, and confronting food waste. Our goal is to help inspire the next generation of food and agriculture entrepreneurs while educating the Babson community on responsible consumption habits that will benefit producers who are taking ownership of sustainable production methods.
ENERGY
Our goal is to represent and promote the Energy Industry at F.W. OLIN GRADUATE SCHOOL OF BUSINESS. We want to build a global network for all BABSON students that bridges academia and industry; and to engage the next generation of entrepreneurs in the industry and provide a space for innovation to flourish.
SUSTAINABLE FASHION
Our goal at BSEC is to make fashion and sustainability synonymous with each other. We are committed to promoting the premise that companies can produce apparel and accessories in an environmentally and socioeconomically sustainable manner and that consumption and patterns of usage can be done so sustainably. We aspire to work in sync with the fashion industry and encourage the businesses to focus on sustainability while maintaining consistent levels of profitability. Ultimately, we aim to spread awareness of the need for sustainable fashion and collaborate with other like-minded organizations in the region to reach this goal.
SUSTAINABLE CITIES
Cities and the infrastructure that goes into them are key factors of building a sustainable future. From efficient transportation and eco-friendly buildings, to effective waste management, we aim to work with industry experts and legislators to drive those changes with the oncoming stage of growth.
